Forklift/General Mechanic
Description

We are on the look out for a Forklift/General Mechanic with expertise in keeping the clients HGV trucks and forklifts at peak performance.

What they are looking for:

  • Experience in a busy workshop environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and have a flexible approach
  • Must have experience using welding, grinding and cutting tools, relevant certificates are also required
  • Must have your own hand tools (larger tools are provided; welders, grinders and jacks)
  • Must have a current driving licence (HGV and Forklift would be an advantage)
  • Knowledge of LPG would be advantage.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting various repairs (from replacing light bulbs, wipers and trims to basic auto wiring)
  • Perform routine checks on oil, fluids and general vehicle maintenance.

Alongside these tasks, you'll carry out basic servicing and repairs and take charge of ordering spare parts when needed. Additionally, you'll occasionally handle other duties, such as testing fire alarms and undertaking minor maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our automotive services.
