Job Description

KCJ Training & Employment Solutions are currently working with a well-established and reputable software company
based in Bristol. They work in self-organised teams and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with their technical teams to ensure successful project
delivery on a variety of small to large bespoke website and software projects. As a Business Analyst with you will
likely be working on a variety of projects at any one time.

Your daily tasks will include gathering /elicitation process and conducting stakeholder interviews. The Business
Analyst will be navigating the needs of several stakeholder groups as well as defining an end-to-end business process
that is accepted by all parties. You will be required to map out the epics, user stories and features for one or more
systems to support these processes and needs; creating process diagrams as well as wire framing and user journey
planning.
Your day to day duties will also include, performing feasibility analysis, scoping projects, and working with the
development team to prioritize deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities as well as, creating detailed
Business Requirements Documentation (BRD) and translating it into user stories and information architecture
You will be required to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) walk throughs, demonstrations in addition to
assisting with Functionality Testing. Creating and managing user stories in coordination with software development
teams and guiding the development team on a day to day basis with regard to the interpretation of user stories

The ideal candidate will have:
 Confident client-facing and presentational skills
 Good analytical and creative thinking abilities
 Experience or knowledge of user testing
 Great attention to detail when writing and maintaining documentation
 A good technical understanding of website and software development
 Experience of business and/or data analysis roles similar to above
 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable but not essential:
 Skills in facilitation, prioritization, and scope management
 Software/ website development background
 Project Management experience, especially in agile
 Working knowledge of UML
 Working knowledge of Azure (or omnigraph) and Visio
 Database design background

Personal Attributes:
The successful candidate will be a good team player and fast learner with the ability to pick up new information
quickly and effectively and able to self-teach software tools if required. Self-sufficiency with excellent
communication skills.
